Project Update and Timeline as of 7/16/18
The understanding was that the project would be completed before school started. The Federal funding part of the application and process took much longer than anticipated, and caused the delay. The sidewalks will be constructed on one side of the street at a time and in such a way to have minimum disruption.
Project Schedule Update (schedule subject to change):
- Advertisement: week of 7/16/18
- Bid Opening 8/8/18
- Construction Start 9/4/18
- Construction End 10/31/18
Project Update and Timeline as of 6/21/18
Sidewalk plans have been approved, federal authorization received and, specifications have been submitted for MnDot review.
- Anticipated Bid Opening: 7/25/18
- Estimated Construction Start Date: 8/20/18
- Project Completion Date: 10/31/18
- 42 new trees will be planted
