Residential Design Standards – Background

Residential Design Standards (March 2015) 

The Planning Commission released the draft of Ward 3 Residential Design Standards study and recommendations for public review at their meeting of March 27, 2015.  Click here to access the document (scroll to page 12).

A public meeting is scheduled for Friday, May 8, 2015, at 8:30 a.m. in the basement (Room 40) of City Hall (15 Kellogg Blvd W.).

Height and Density Study (October 2014) 

The City’s Department of Planning and Economic Development (PED) is beginning a study of height and density of new homes in Ward 3. Mike Richardson will be leading the study. Construction Management (August 2014)

There are several items being put in place related to  construction management projects in the City.  Below are documents (in draft) that support these efforts.

2009 Residential Design Standards Ordinance

A Zoning Study  of current dimensional and building design standards applicable to
the new construction or remodeling of single-family homes been approved and will be completed by January 1, 2015 February 1, 2015.
