Ford Site Listening Session on July 31st with Ryan Companies

Ford Site developer Ryan Companies is holding a listening session regarding the development of the Ford Site. Come meet Ryan’s team leaders and share your feedback on the existing masterplan. The Ryan team is hoping to hear the things you love about the neighborhood and the things you are hoping to see in this development.

Upcoming Ford Site Meetings to be held by Ryan Companies:

• Thu Aug 16 – Master Site Plan Review (This is when Ryan’s adjustments to the approved city plan will be shared tentatively at 7pm at Highland Sr High.)

• Thu Sep 27 – Update Meeting 1 (Location/time TBD.)

Board Meeting – Thursday, July 19th

Where: Highland Park Community Center
When: Thursday, July 19th, 7:00 – 8:30 pm

Representatives from Ryan Companies will be in attendance at the Board Meeting on July 19th to do a 15 minute introduction of their team that will be working on the development of the Ford Site. The discussion of the plan itself will take place at a large community meeting to be held in August or September. Look for further details soon.

John McCarthy, City of St Paul Budget Director will be going over the changes to the Capital Improvement Budget (CIB) process.

Highland Play Area Update

Construction is tentatively set to begin the week of July 23rd and is anticipated to be completed by end of October 2018.  Albrecht, the contractor, will have 90 days from the start date to complete the project.  Depending on the weather, the project may end earlier or later.  Updates on the project’s progress will be posted at

As a reminder, the play area will be closed during construction.  There will be access to the community center north of the play area during construction.  At times, access will be temporarily closed when there is work being done near the building.
