Highland Parkway/ Edgcumbe Bike Blvd
What is a Bike Blvd? A bike blvd is a street that is designated for Bikes and Cars to share the road. The users are educated through a system of signs and street stencils. A bike boulevard is not the same as a bike path, but rather the street would be shared by both cars and bikes. FACTS about the Proposed Bike Blvd- The Parking on Highland Pkwy will remain the same
- No Bike lane will be painted on the street
- Bicycles ordinarily will travel in the main traffic lane
- No Traffic lights / stop signs will be added
- The speed limit will be lowered from 30 mph to 25 mph
- Sidewalk will be added from Syndicate to Edgcumbe
