Deer Management – 2016

The dates for the 2016 Crosby Farm Regional Park special permit archery hunt are fast approaching.  This is the ninth consecutive year the Metro Bowhunters Resources Base (MBRB) has coordinated this event at Crosby Farm.  MBRB’s purpose is to demonstrate archery’s effectiveness as a deer management tool and to convey a positive image of bowhunting while providing additional bowhunting opportunities to urban bowhunters.  MBRB’s services are free to the City of Saint Paul.

The hunt dates are as follows:

  • Monday – Wednesday, October 10 – 12
  • Monday – Wednesday, November 7 – 9

The park will be CLOSED to the public during these periods.

In 2016, the hunt will only occur within the boundaries of Crosby Farm Regional Park.  Notifications were placed around the perimeter of the park on Monday, September 26th.

With the limited success of the Highland Park portion of the hunt added in 2014 and 2015, we will NOT be hunting the parcel adjacent to Circus Juventas this season.
